Science focuses on the core concepts of the Next Generation Science Standards. Social Studies is taught with an emphasis on American History up to the Civil War. Reading explores various genres and types of texts through the application of Signposts. Language Arts utilizes the writing process to develop all genres of writing with a large focus on research-based writing. Some of the features of 7th grade include:

Springfield Trip
End of the Year Kickball Tournament
Daily SEL Questions
No Red Ink

Students are provided instruction in reading, writing, social studies, science, math, physical education, and language arts. Elective courses include band, chorus, Spanish, STEM, music, and art.

Additionally, students can be pulled from a class in order to receive specialized services. We have both a Title One Teacher and Speech Therapist to assist students as needed. There are two resource teachers who provide special education, and one teacher who provides support for English Language Learners.
